Free software for Charting ....

A new version of QuoteTrader is now available the runs on multiple brokerage datafeeds at the same time. QT is a new trading front end and real time charting software package. QT supports Interactive Brokers, Ameritrade, MB, Patsystems, Onada, and FXCM with more datfeeds coming soon (or tell us which new ones you'd like to see).

QT links into many free news sources and handles stocks, futures, and forex.

Thats interesting and it begs a few questions.

1. Is this going to remain free forever? If so, what do you guys get out of it?

2. Do I see adverts above the charts?

3. It looks like it doesn't store data from the charts you have constructed but uses backfill instead. Correct?

4. Does it use IB's new true data (5 second bars)?

Yes, it is FREE forever. It is a new product of the Quote.com web site and is supported by ads and links into the http://www.quote.com site for more content like news and worldwide exchanges and forex.

It runs on multiple brokerage feeds the user has access to and uses IB real time & backfill. Can run multiple feeds at the same time so you could have a future's chart from IB and a stock chart from Ameritrade.

I don't know about the true 5 minutes bars for sure, will look into.

QuoteTrader's free charts' smallest bar size is 1 min, but they update at the pace at which they receive streaming quotes from your broker (IB streams quotes approximately every .70 sec).

i am having problems with quote trader. i installed all files, have username and password. But when i get to load the program it tells me that username or password are wrong and I cant do nothing. Please help me!

Can I use QuoteTrader to send 1 Forex order (example Buy EURUSD at market with brackets SL 15 pips and TP 15 pips) to multiple brokers at the same time. This all with 1 click?
I want to trade multiple lots on 5 brokers simultaneously.

Hi Guyke,

Thanks for the post. You can trade with 5 (or more!) brokers simultaneously, but tying that all to one click hasn't been implemented yet.
That's a really great idea, and if we get more requests, we can have it sized by engineering for feasibility and possible scheduling.

Thanks Brent for the answer! I trust you will inform us if you make the multi borker stuff availeble. You don't want us to trade 50 lots on 1 retail broker, woudn't you ?
