Please explain mathematically how one moving average for any given period (eg 10 day ma) can be faster than another.

Its impossible for a Zero lag MA to exist... MA's are created from price, therefore price must exist first, therefore it lags.

Of course it reaches the conclusion that Jurik's is the best, and maybe it is.

If you use MAs to indicate trend, then issues of lag and overshoot do matter.
