European Style Options

I am looking for an answer to some simple questions regarding European options:

1. Is it possible to trade european options on american stocks? If not, what intstruments are usually traded?
2. What broker can I use to trade european options?

1). Yes. European in this case refers to the exercise type of the option, not the domicile of the underlying instrument
2). Interactive Brokers, Man Direct .. (check the LIFFE website)

The third possibility would be European issuer of options on american stocks:

Eurex (Europe) options on GM for example.

Which american stocks can be traded on european style? Can you pls mention a few?

If you mean european style options I suspect it's not possible as all exchanges I know use american style options for stock.

If you mean listed at european exchanges than there are many brokers that offer the service. I would advise however to trade at the US exchanges as choice and liquidity overthere are much greater. Also commisions tend to be lower at that side of the water.
