Ah I meant margin deposit - for a minimum bet

They lowered margin req for bets without stops , but they raised it for bets with stop orders on some markets compared with few weeks ago , for example b4 the FTSE margin for a bet with 10 points stop was 10 ! now it is 22 , and 60 if u dont use stop , it is still very tight margin if u use stops it is the lowest , u dont need lower than this it is ridiculously risky ...

Does it make a difference to your margin if those are guaranteed stops or not?
(I would think it would).

if it is G stop u pay only the risk , example : if u bet on the ftse w a 10 point G stop then your margin is 10 x stake but u will pay extra spread as a premium ...

That's exactly how it was when I joined them in early 2008. I had a limited risk account and so all my stops were guaranteed.

What I don't know is how big the margins were then for non-guaranteed stops, since I never had non-guaranteed stops, but it sounds as though it was less than it is now.
