A slight draw down

unfookinbelievable...a small hedge fund firm (based in Southend) destroys capital from 40 mil to 1mil...Jeezus wept, if a few of us had run it we could have kept it at least level surely (after paying ourselves a *decent* salary + commission)...how the fook do these guys get these opportunities, where is the constant dilligence...? And who the fook created that joke of a logo...? Why does Lars look like he's just done some 'rooms...? and why is Mimi on a year long sabbatical?? taps nose...;)

Uh oh...now you've gone and done it..the Essex boys will be 'on thread' soon. Nothing wrong with Southend mate, spent many a nice day down there 16 years ago when my Daughter was first born, daunted by the responsibility of being a new Dad wondering what the fook am I gonna do with the rest of my life....? Not much has changed..:D

Anyhow they're based in The Caymans...;)

From reading that article sounds to me like they had no intention of reporting the 70% Jan loss and were gambling hard to make the money back in Feb - which didn't pay off.

Utter utter incompetance. There's absolutely no excuse for such a huge loss.

IMHO I reckon it's fraud...strange thing is I reckon it's so small time (relative to the largesse/hubris that existed/still does exist in that niche), it's probably big players only losing 100K each, no more than an accounting blip, it'll go nowhere..

Gotta love this part:
"The good news is that whilst our NAV is obviously
impacted to the low side by this, the Fund continues
to do business as usual."

I guess it gives investors loads of confidence to know the ship is sinking but the the captain hasn't noticed.

LOL !

Well - seeing as 'business as usual' is 70% drawdowns, it makes you wonder who would feel better at reading this.
