I believe that's because that the government backed deposits scheme will only cover hard cash on deposit and not necessarily open positions with unrealised profit! But by that theory one would hope if you had a losing one that would be wiped off also - I doubt it!

Well should be easier to get it out then - get your money out asap. If it is FSA reg then it may be as secure as a bank deposit.

All too expensive as compared to IG's advanced which are free if you make 2 trades a month. Has anyone used the alarms on the advanced charts - do they offer alarms for any breaks of MA's, trend lines etc? I think I am going to try them out as their spreads are keen and no other SB firm offers...

I have accessed it and seems good apart from a few connection issues! Probably the area I am in I think.

On a different note I can say that looking at your spreads they seem about the best available except for one major USD/CAD which is about 7.5 pips as compared to others with a typical spread of 2-3. I dont understand why such a difference on that one major when all your others are so keenly priced.
