I think it depends on where you see the padlock. generally, you should see it on the login page, or anywhere that you are required to put in security details i.e. passwords,payement etc

I agree with julian. just use virtual trading for now. its what I do. I'm basically trading virtually for a few weeks before I actually trade in the real world.
