    Questions from a Newbie!

Yes, Trading without a plan and not even understanding the market you are trading is 100% failure territory. Alot of traders come and go, that is life. The markets are designed to chew people up and spit them out. That is probably why people want to learn from the best and go to seminars all the...

Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

Yes - JillyB quite correct senitment in the markets has dropped a little as traders start to take a little profit. Having said that the markets seem quite frustrated that we have been stuck in a range for such a long time. Inflation fears in the UK have helped nip back some of the decent gains...

Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

We have already scene the Feds stance on Yields - the markets have really brushed aside this factor. Stocks seem to be the hot topic again, however KRIESAU is correct the US has been stuck in a funk. I coudl probably see Brent Crude getting to $68.00 and bottling the $70 mark, which means a...

Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

Minder - i know sometimes that some guys feel comfortable not leaving stops. Sometimes you just have to trade the way you feel at the time. Absolutely! How many times have you moved a stop - just a little bit? I find placing your stop strategically is just as important as the timing of your trade.

Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

Pat, I disagree to the second point - of using a daily cash spread without a stop. How does that fit into any risk managment strategy? Of course market makers will take the markets to obvious orders and in some cases breach these levels by a significant amount. Just a small word of warning...

Just to introduce myself to all the bulletin board members - I am Marvin Sones/ a dealer at Global Trader. I have been through 9/11 and Thursdays attacks and i whole heartedly believe what we are seeing in the stock markets at the moment is a true indication that life is insignificant to the...
