I don't think arbitrage works well in this sort of competitive market because if it was so easy to make money like that then everyone would be doing it, especially the big players out there. Not saying it wouldn't work at all, just that everyone would be doing it if it did.

Ive seen a couple alpari ads on this site. They claim to have been around for 10 years now, so I would hope that they are a reliable broker. But then again, you never know.

Yea posting trades is an important part of trusting another trader. People are much more likely to read what you say and actually care if they get to see the actual trades that you make.

News events are always causing changes in the prices of currencies. Of course, you would see the most fluctuation and turbulence during day trading where traders will react quickly to any news that comes out.

I don't know how you can be so sure that gold prices will fall in that time period, but whatever. I can't prove you wrong so your guess is as good as mine.

Full time trading is a pretty serious endeavor since you are on your own and probably depending on the income from your trading to survive. If you can't trade well then full time trading probably wouldn't be a good idea for you. I admire people who can actually pull this off.

Yes, having a good mentor is extremely helpful when learning anything, not just forex trading. Know what you are doing before you start risking too much of your own money. A demo account is good for learning the ropes and getting rid of silly mistakes, but don't demo trade too long as your mind...
