Just thought I'd start a thread on the recently released HVMM from netpicks. I am waiting for mine in the mail and will post a review when appropriate. Anyone else using this system please comment.

Hi,
How have you found the system? It is no longer on offer, but I have registered on their email list.
Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks

Just backtesting so far and learning the system (not real hard, but taking it slow) but looks very impressive results so far. I will have some data to post in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for taking the time to post your experience. Really appreciate the saving of time and heartache it can cause.
Cheers

The very fact that he bombards your inbox with amateurish rubbish statements is reason enough to run away, far and fast.

How the devil did he get my email I will never know.

I was using Tradestation but you can use the system for 1 month free and money back so you try it and see for your self and let me know how you do

Razor99,
I'm very interested to hear how the backtesting / trading is going now that you have
received the HVMM system. Are you trading forex?
Thanks

Slight delay,I did not like the Ninja version, I feel there is a bug in it - agreed by Netpicks, but really a Ninja issue. Besides the TS version is easier to compare to the vendors post/videos, My backtesting for Ninja version was so so, not great but not bad either. I am now getting setup with the Tradestation version. I will post impressions in a couple of weeks. I trade futures (Crude, ES and T Notes), not Forex, but lots of the users are FX'rs.

I have approximately 8 weeks of backtesting (mainly Crude, Russell and 30 Year Bond) that show that this system should be profitable. I was hoping for an overall better hit rate (around 55 to 65% I am seeing), but there is some discretionary things that could be implemented that could (should?) bump this up. I ignored most of those things during back testing and still profitable.

Example is a summary of RT trades for about 2 months.

278 trades, 165 winners, 113 losers (59%). largest win 300, largest loss 240.
1 contract profit of 9850 - 1300 comissions = 8550.

This represented taking every trade that triggered after 930 and before 11 am EST (not sure many people would do this).

I also had no problem with the customer service and the price come swith a years access to the members area where there is live training 2 times a week and videos posted.

The system is pretty easy and leaves room for discretionary filtering/adjustments. Anyway, certainly no holy grail, but until proven otherwise during live trading I will give it the nod..

most importantly what was the win/loss average in terms of size (on average how much bigger were wins over losses ?) ...

There are 2 optional possible losing trade exits (early and a stop /reverse) . Obviously the stop/reverse will have bigger win ratio but also will have bigger losses.
I tested using the early loss exit and to answer your specific question the average win was $136 and the average lasos was $122

cheers

I notice your last update on HVMM was in 2009. Do you (or does anyone) have any further feedback on HVMM?

thanks in advance,

Cliff

aw well it seems it is a bad system after all.Too many bad reviews.

However i did find one review funny where the guy said that he did the opposite of what the system presents and made more money that way.But if you do the opposite and it works so well why would you stop using it.If it works it works.Made over 900 pips doing the opposite.Must be a crazy person

Just somebody who is angry because they won't refund him so he made up a few lies.Howver i cannot ignore all the other bad reviews even though it seems that it's a discretionary system and diffrent traders will have diffrent results.
