interesting video from Oscar this week - he recommends avoiding trading in the run up to the Thanksgiving weekend; and predicts a mini trend reversal prior to the holidays.
Caution advised, caution duly noted.

i kept getting stopped out at +1 & +2 from 837, I had to make several stabs at this one, which shows the importance of keeping faith with your technique/entries etc, but was finally rewarded with a nice +23 points runner
( I moved my stop to 60 once that was breached, missed the extra 5 or so points from the actual high, but I'm NOT complaining at a +23 runner )

I most probably would have wimped out for +13 when price got to 850, but this was a weekly trade and I rmembered Oscar's advice that trends often reverse in the days immediately prior to a long weekend, so I was a little more willing to stick with this one.

that's it for this week, no more trades, am off today for some R&R in Da Pilpines

good luck.

just one final observation - all the +1s & +2s I was getting, (plus a couple of scratch trades), where did all those 1s & 2s come from ?
From the Stop Running of all the Safety Stops put in by people going Short because their indicators were screaming "OVERBOUGHT - SELL NOW !!!"

wrong

rathcoole_exile started this thread I usually only use Camarilla and DeMark derived Pivot Points to calculate my "Kill Zones" but recently I have also been keeping any eye on Classic or Traditional Floor Trader Pivots to see how they fare in comparison.
So for this week, i'll also post the daily FTP-KZs for evaluation:

HKZ 896.75 & 876

LKZ 844.75 & 833

tonight's watch plan:
resting Buy Stops to go Long @ 896.75
resting Sell Stops to go Short @ 833

price moves into HKZ, reversal Shorts @ 876
price moves into LKZ, reversal Longs @ 844.75

already I can foresee some interesting situations 'cos the 844.75 where I go Long on FTPs is the same place I should go Short on DeMark

a couple of false starts, scratch trades and a wee loss before the move kicked in

didn't trade it as i'm still on a watching brief, but obviously the FTP Long kicked in earlier and more profitably that the Cam/DeMark Long on this occasion

resting Buy Stop to go Long @ 933.5
resting Sell Stops to go Short @ 876

price moves into HKZ, reversal Shorts @ 919
price moves into LKZ, reversal Longs @ 890.5

update: tough going last night, trigger for the reversal short wasn't hit so just had to sit n suffer as I watched price drop.
tried to get a +10 from 890.5 on the reversal long but just failed to hit profit target so closed at eod more or less at scratch :-(
long frustrating night with no result

LKZ 894.5 & 886

tonight's action plan:
resting Buy Stop to go Long @ 938
resting Sell Stop to go Short @ 886

price moves into HKZ, reversal Short @ 920.25
price moves into LKZ, reversal Long @ 894.5 update: this one triggered, but only just, for +1 +2 +10. now flat

update: tough going last night, trigger for the reversal short wasn't hit so just had to sit n suffer as I watched price drop.
tried to get a +10 from 894.5 on the reversal long but failed to hit profit target so closed +1 +2 -4
then the Short from 886 kicked in twice for -4-4-4 & -4-4-4
Not a good night :-(

as I've previously mentioned, but worth repeating, I trade the Cams & DMS seperately and independent of each other, even if one trade direction would contradict the other
