Hi I have opened a Capital Spreads account after playing with the demo for ages and have a few questions which I should have asked ages ago while trialing it really.

I am a beginner to a certain extent and so dont yet pay for any level 2 or graphs but I use and have access to Barclays Barx system with level 2 as I get this free with the number of share deals I do with them. I also use the ADVFN site and a few others which I find are all quite helpful especially when I can complement them with my Barclays Barx system, although sometimes this is really slow.

I did some live trading today on Uk Indicies in my Capital Spreads account and I noticed that the FTSE 250 Rolling Daily closed at 16:30, whereas the FTSE Rolling daily seems to carry on. I assume it will run until they close at 9:15.

I closed my FTSE rolling trade just before 4:30 as I thought it would close only to miss out a few further gains. If I understand right and also from experience with the demo account, it is dangerous to leave your position open overnight.

I asked Capital Spreads about this and they said "The rolling daily indices are priced off of the futures market which enables spread betting firms to quote for longer periods than the underlying market", which I sort of new but do not know how to follow it.

All my Uk graph sites stop at 4:30 and the Capital Spreads included graphs look poor to me unless I am doing something wrong, so are there any sites that will show me graphs for things such as the FTSE rolling daily after 4:30?

At this point I am after it for free as I do not want to spend out until I am sure I can make a bit first. Possibly one of the sites I am using offers it but maybe I do not know how to get it to display, ie ADVFN seems to contain a lot of information and graphs for the world but I do not see a way to access this FTSE rolling daily info after 4:30. Basic would be ok at this point, although better than basic would be nice.

Any help appreciated.

Apologies I have just checked the graphs on Capital Spreads now that I have a newly opened live account and found them not bad at all. I didn't try using them in the live account because I assumed they would still be the same not realising they would be much improved. So I am happy with them but if you know of other sites etc that I should look at I would be interested.

Sorry I am still learning all the time.
