Dear Valued GFT Customer,

As I’m sure you are well aware, the last several months and especially the last several days have been filled with news of many troubled financial services companies. I want to take this opportunity to assure you that GFT is financially stable and capitalized well beyond our requirements. In addition, our new highly competitive tight spreads continue to be among the most aggressive in the industry as our liquidity providers are some of the most stable and financially secure in world.

As a privately owned company, we are not reliant on the financing of outside investors or influences of third−party companies to maintain our independent financial stability. We are virtually debt−free and have experienced consistent growth and profitability over the years.

Most importantly, though, is our absolute commitment to the highest standards of ethics, integrity and service to our customers. As worldwide leaders in online trading, we are licensed and regularly audited on four continents to ensure our practices meet or exceed the standards set forth by the industry.

We thank you for choosing GFT to service your online trading needs and look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Sincerely,

Gary L. Tilkin, President and CEO

Hi westernforce

I personally am taking the statement at face value, indeed it would be possible to take that message as an indication that all is not as it might seem. However I suspect that many people have been on the phone to GFT seeking information.
In any event I am putting my faith in Captain Darling to sort this mess out.

happy trading Nut
PS are you also a GFT customer??

I also received on of those letters. It's my take on it too, that they just sending out a reassurance.

Yip, I'm also a GFT customer, since 2001. Have been happy with their service, so far, but these times we are living in right now are quite unpredictable.

I have been with GFT spreadbetting for about 6 months now at a guess. Indeed I am very happy with this company. As you say these are unpredictable times. If you have a spare 10p I know where we can buy a bank.

Maybe they've just seen a rise in clients withdrawing fund or something and wanted to send a message that things are fine.

Steve.

Perhaps so, i notice no takers on the bank buyout.
I also wonder if any other SB's have bothered to keep their clients advised.
