Spread Betting Firms?

Hi i'm just making a personal profile on some of the spread betting firms and their differences, so could you help me by listing a few (in the UK). Much appreciated,

Why spread bet ?
Direct Market Accsess is much better .
Low cost, better fills , good margin rates, and you dont get F**ked over with price manipulation.

I hate spread betting companies

i have been using Futuresbetting.com they offer DMA in the futures markets, i find them better than most regarding fills,margins. Have you any experience with these guys.?
 
so far i have used

cityindex/finspreads/iii (same company)
capital spreads
cmc

cmc is the best so far.
 
I have been using IG Index for the past few weeks, I have only just started spread Betting. The only thing that has irrated me that their charts seem to be abit delayed and sometimes can just freeze. And the other, now that they know that I am coming to learn about the spread betting process, they have started me on this minimum price per point scenario. That I don't like, i know that they need to make money but it says after my 7 weeks phasing in period they will set the minimum to a varied price. thats just wrong they should have the min set and not change the goal posts, as decreases my chances of winning more money unless I start putting a lot more money down on the table ...


what are other peoples views on this ... ??
 
Direct access is £5 to £10+ per tick, so nothing to complain about really.

If you want smaller size trade with oanda/abnamro/alpari
 
Anybody have anycomments to make on their experiences with GFT, please? Thinking of changing from IG Index
 
If you have vista. Don't try GFT. Otherwise their charting package is pretty good with the amount of customisable things you can do!
 
Try visiting Betfair. They offer some great promotions and a wide range of markets not just financials but they have also started a new project called Tradefair. Use this code: 7FJLPLPQ3 it will generate you a promotional offer when you open either a Betfair account or Tradfair account.

i have been using Futuresbetting.com, they offer DMA, they have fixed spreads which are advertised, you get the actual market price, when you get filled in the market they add their spread, no requotes and instant fills.They are completly different from other spread betters.
 
dont use SB firms go direct access , cheaper and more reliable . read others expieances with these crooks before commiting

I have been using IGIndex now for a couple of weeks. I like the platform, and the charting package, for me, has been wonderful, i love the prorealtime charts. Regarding the phasing in of bet sizes- how can you possibly complain about this?! Were you expecting to be able to bet 10p per point forever? I think it is a brilliant idea when trying out a new platform, to have lower limits available to start with while you are getting to grips with the way things work there.
 
Today, I discovered why IG are so slow.

It's my Avast anti-virus! It needs to be configured to have IG as an exception, otherwise it scans every action and adds seconds to everything.

Found out when I clicked 'Buy' to close a trade and it logged me out. Cost me 31 pips but IG found the problem and now it's dead fast!
