starting trading pot of £5000.

target 20 points per day at £1/point, initially.
works out 440 points/month for 22 days/month.
after 3 months pot grows to, hopefully, £6300.

increase trades at £2/point for next 3 months, point target remains same/day.
works out £880/month,£2640 for 3 months.
pot grows to £8940.

increase trades at £3/point for next 3 months, again point target remains same/day. works out £1320/month,£3960 for next 3 months.
pot grows to £12900.

increase trades at £5/point for next 3 months,
works out at £2200/month, £6600 for next 3 months.
pot grows, AFTER ONE YEAR, to £19500.

After a year 5k becomes 19.5k.

Sounds good!

EDIT- From time to time I will buy FT100 shares. The whole idea is to make £440 or more (hopefooooolly) per month

Any comments.

Thanks.

That's the easy bit. Now you need a system to produce the results. Now the hard work starts. Good luck :)

i, from time to time , will buy FT100 share but in a small amount, roughly 3 times of pot value.
will keep you posted.

value of the pot now is £5020.

ft closed at 5705.
pot value £5034.

edit- might go for £2/point if trading in DAX or FT.

Your stake is 1 pound / 5000 pound pot , after 3 month your stake is 2 pound / 6300 pot , in my opinon if u do this after 3 months u r taking higher risk , u should double your stake after your double your account .

Good luck, tt. What's your stop strategy, because RBS and LSE both down at the moment by the looks of it?

it has been very very volatile market today so i was watching it for stops but next time i will post it.

normally i keep both of them but because of weekend RBS closed flat and LSE for +3, for £6.

pot value 5057.

might trade DAX or DOW if opportunity rises.

hi,

if a stop/loss is set for -50, risk is only £50.

hi,

if a stop/loss is set for -50, risk is only £50.

You seem to be risking £50 to make £20-30 which in my view is likely to lead to ruin. That's a profit factor of <0.5

See the table below. This assumes constant trade size. e.g. if your profit factor is 0.5 (i.e. on average your winnings are only 1/2 the size of your losses) then you need to win 67% of your trades just to break even. If you start factoring in changing the trade size according to your account balance then the win ratios need to be even higher.

Code:
Profit factor	Win Ratio Needed to break even
0.1 91%
0.25 80%
0.5 67%
0.75 57%
1 50%
1.25 44%
1.5 40%
2 33%
2.5 29%
3 25%
4 20%
5 17%
