Hi all, just wondering if you spreadbetters could do me a great favour and check your platforms.

Please report back if you can open more than one chart of the same instrument, for clarity lets say FTSE 100 rolling index, how many can you open at the same time.

I am not expecting anyone to be able to achieve more than one but it would a pleasant surprise if you can. Thanks :)

cheers

Have just tried with Fins. Don't think it's possible to do what their advert. describes. In which case, it is misleading the public. Perhaps, a job fpr Sharky to take up? I'm fed up with stirring things up. Let him do some!

Thanks for replying Split, this thread is a bit like one of those wild west ghost towns with the tumble weed rolling down the street..........bit like the circle thread without CY

The silence is most telling either nobody has been able to open more than one chart or they couldn't be arsed for me

on fins, yes of course its possible to open many charts for different markets, but not for one, it is possible to take the address from the chart and stick it in a browser and open as many charts as is required, but this is soon rumbled.

ah well never mind, dont ask, dont get.......or is that ask and not get anyway

Lol !
Just about to post meself re cmc .

I have 3 diff timeframe charts up of the ftse on a daily basis and could probably have more open.

Hi DT. It seems we all migrate away and come back around about the same time. lol
Helen Q popped in last week. I myself have only been back a short while.

How are you? PM me.

Just to check I opened all the available time frames on the ftse and the cable. No problems

mmmmmmmmm, yes and no.

You could also open up a chart of a weekly, them close and open a daily, then close and open a hour etc etc

So what I am saying is the number of charts you have open is not that important. And you will get conflicting views as to direction etc

Just look at the prevailing trend (Long time frame chart) and trade only that on a smaller time frame chart. If that is your wish.

The smaller you go the more whips of course

Hey hows tricks!? Its been a while eh! :D

check ur pm.. ;)

Many thanks for all the contributions guys, very much appreciated

It would appear that I made a poor choice initially. I have to admit that I was swayed by the low account funding requirement, the low bet size and the Fins adverts here on T2W making out their charting platform was more than it actually is.

CMC charts seem to have a far superior function. On the other hand Fins are probably aiming themselves at the noobs like myself, hence catering for a multi-timframe strategy not high on their list of priorities.

CMC have a two week live data demo trial, when I feel I am ready I will give this a go and step up to the CMC platform.

Once again thanks for all your posts and ideas

The tick charts on IG Index have been improved and are identical to ProRealTime.

Hi fibonelli

Thats good news but do they allow you to open charts as in darktone's post 4 I would be grateful if you can try this for me.

Im a recent fan of prorealtime so if IG have a similar function they will be on my list also.

Congrats by the way on your 6th place in the share comp, good trading.

As many as you like on Capitalspreads. Boredom is the main limiting factor!

Thanks for the input Windowsill, appreciated, I've just tried the demo and no go, perhaps the live platform is different.

The live platform (graphs side of it) is totally different. I have been on them all and its better than most, similar to IG.
