Are the Indices Total Return or Capital

I have been trying (without success) to find out if the commonly quoted FTSE indices (100, All Share) include dividends reinvested (i.e. Total Return), or Capital only.

Why don't you get an answer to this question from the powers that be, rather than from someone anonymous on a forum? The answer's here:

I am aware that the FTSE calculates both Capital and Total return indexes, but I can't find out which is the one generally published.

This relates to if I buy a Tracker (either an ETF or am OEIC) - what am I getting?

Wouldn't that depend on the specific tracker? I don't know the answer, sorry...
