FTSE 100 - Live trades as part of an exercise

Good morning and Happy New Year to everyone

My name is Yasmin. I live in Yorkshire, mother of 2 kids and I am trading full time now.

I knew nothing about the market and learnt how to day trade from my teacher.

I was initially instructed by my teacher to post on Flasheart thread, but now I have sought permission to create my own thread.

I will be trading the FTSE 100 and sharing my trades as I take them.

I am not interested in debate/argumentation as it upsets me, so feel free to waste your time posting without a reply.

from my observation there are 3 groups on trade2win

1. post live trades and make points consistently = positive
2. talk about markets all day/night but cant trade to save there life = negative
3. failed traders who have nothing better to do than post negative comments = extremely negative and bad for your trading psychology

I aim to be in group 1 , be positive and add value to Trade2win.

I have learnt to trade many markets as I have been taught inter-market analysis, but for sake of 100% clarity and avoid any potential confusion I will focus on FTSE 100 alone

The Multinational FTSE100

It is important to remember that the FTSE100 is not a pure play on the UK. While it is a good barometer of general investor confidence, the broader-based FTSE 250 is a better measure of the underlying health of the British economy.

Five of the current 10 largest constituents are either miners or oil and gas companies.

The top 10 stocks represent around 46% of the value of the whole index and overwhelmingly, the weighting within the index is towards multinationals that make their profits overseas. On a sector basis, financials, miners, oil, and gas make up around 55% of the index.

With these essentially cyclical stocks (that is, stocks that fare best when the global economy is growing) making up 55% of the index, the FTSE100 will face serious headwinds if there is a global economic slowdown.
 
Is your ' teacher ' holding your kids hostage ? By the way you missed a group re your T2W observations. Group 4 = Successful traders who can't be bothered answering the same questions over and over so now just shoot the breeze with others/indulge in/get entertained by the never ending Lulz on here (for T2W is a source that never stops giving) whilst waiting for a trade set-up. Can you explain what ' argumentation ' is ?

If there is one thing that is an irritant to most of us it is this eternal philosophising attitude that is the trademark of your teacher and his students,

Take my advice, for what it is worth, and get down to trading without going all around the houses and this, yes, be truthful. People are not fools. They can tell the difference.

Make the thread interesting and you will gain a following and if you don't want that, they won't want you.
 
Yes it seems a thinly disguised/clumsy attempt at getting newbies to ask ' So who is your teacher ?' and hey presto cue the pictch - surprise surprise - it is .......( I'll leave others to work it out - clue - look at the similarity in grammer/writing syyle with others. )

Tiresome, particularly when they take us for fools. It's not even a clever attempt.

you're right, it does look obvious, i only fell apon it today, though i saw that littleangel1928, oops 1982, was making a lot of posts in the stats, i didn't take a peek till today, wish i hadn't bothered.

ok guys. littleangel has made no secret of the fact that she is mentored by wallstreet, but I'm prepared to accept that this is a genuine attempt to explain and detail the trades that she takes.

So let's give it a chance and see how it develops before rushing to judgement.

Lol, Jon, Bless you - but LittleAngel most probably is WallStreet ! Lol ...and whether she is, or is just mentored by him, it is in any event a thinly disguised marketing attempt....How do you think this will end ? Where is the Hare when you ned him !? lol !

What surprises me is the lack of understanding that these people have about the mentality of those who read the posts.

Who, of us, is impressed by the language that they use. It all smacks of Eastern Promise and Ali Baba.

As a marketing ploy it affects me negatively and as soon as I am addressed as "My Friend" the alarm bells go off.
