Warning - Shrek just lost me over 880 pips in a couple of hours

Warning, dont do this.

I was in the middle of placing a trade when my 4 year old son came in and asked if he could watch Shrek. I pulled the trigger, left the pc and put on Shrek. Came back a couple of hours later, found myself 400 pips down. I had pressed buy instead of sell. Good trade otherwise though.

400 pips in the wrong direction + 400 pips missed + 40 spread = I am having a beer now.

The other day I had two profitable trades active in cable and three temporarily unprofitable ones.

I intended to close the most profitable, but instead, clicked on the icon to close them all. That was a bad mistake. But the unforgivable mistake was not to check when it asked me to confirm; I just confirmed without thinking. -242 pips.

Trading was rather subdued for the rest of the day.

Thats the word excuse i've ever heard;

Although i had a similar experience; i was clicking my mouse, and next thing you know i'm 4 ticks down on the ES;

Hilarymannah,

My stop was at 400, I came back from Shrek a couple of pips shy of the stop, (What, its a good film, quite addictive!) so I closed it.

I was so pleased with the performance (If I had pressed the correct button) that I reversed the (wrong) position. New trade in profit now.

Net, I am well up on all trades of the day now, so I can laugh about it now - just!
