Hello

I want to become a trader and only understand the very basics of spread betting. I've read a lot of posts on here and several threads about people promising to teach a trading method, trend analysis etc etc. The problem i'm having is this. The threads start off basic and understandable, then an experienced trader throws something in to the pot which takes the thread and the subject a different direction, no good for novices :thumbsdo

Can anyone recommend a book or a good thread on this forum which will teach me trend analysis. I know about trend lines and how they can be your 'friend' and S/R levels, even pin bars and fibs, HOWEVER, i have no idea how to use them, set them up.... blah blah.

Your help will be very welcome:D

Many thanks

Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets: A Comprehensive Guide to Trading Methods and Applications (New York Institute of Finance): John J. Murphy: Amazon.co.uk: Books
John J Murphy - link above
Also Welles Wilder - New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems
De Mark - New Science of Tech Analysis
These are good books on Tech Analysis. If your interested in the books PM me as i know a site where you can get a considerable discount (if you get what i mean?)

TD's thread Potential Setups is one of the best threads showing how to apply although i suspect you've read that. The james 16 thread on forex factory is also very good.

Hope that helps.
