Why did you come to T2W in the first place?

To learn?
To help?
To find all the answers...........

Trading is a personal journey and the rules that make up your trading style /edge /method /madness will be all yours alone in the end.

There is no definitive answer to any single question so the purpose IMO is to discuss ideas and inevitably end up with what suits you.

Seems some want to define the best way. The definitive. It just can't happen as no 2 peoples goals / styles / risk tolerance will be the same...

Funny to watch sometimes though!

Same here Shadow. A while back I was talking to my wife about my trading work and after about one minute she had a glazed look on her face.

Friends don't appreciate it either, comparing my work to paint drying.

chaps you are missing my point. I am in complete agreement with what you are saying. My niece told me not long ago that I have the most boring job ever just sitting there, 'watching my line'.

My point anyhow was to do just this, discuss...... Anyone looking for or trying to convince others there is ONE DEFINITVE WAY is fooling themselves.

Thats what makes me chuckle, madly in the corner!

A home based trading life can be tough mentally, so it's nice to read the pearls of wisdom some people continually post.

Of course a hearty chuckle can also be had, especially posts from some that enjoy confrontation.

Here's the one I ask myself --- why the hell do I want to convince these "others" especially when I don't know more than one or two of them from a bar of soap, and never will.

Someone on ET once said that "man is a parading animal" and I found it both senseless and incredibly wise.

There's not ONLY ONE WAY and trying to convince others there is only way (for those who believe that to be true) is also pointless. Because there isn't. There's plenty of ways...

I came to t2w because...

- "...I wanted to preach Financial Armageddon"

- "...I wanted to tell the world I had found a system that no one else found before which makes millions without one losing trade in 302 trades"

- "...I was looking for a place that shared my esoteric beliefs that the moon influences the stock market (or was it the other way around?)"

- "...I was looking for those other 95% losing traders"

- "...I got banned on another forum"

- "...I am not a vendor, but I'll try to sell something anyway"

Note: all of the above are recent observations why people come to T2W, not my personal motives...
My personal motive was to get more green dots than wasp
