I am bored, it's 2:40 in the morning and I can't sleep :)

Seriously, trading excites me like nothing else. I am here to learn and to help people who're less experienced than me and genuinely want to learn.

Have a good day!

Reminds me of the joke about a man who goes to the ticket office of the railway station and asks for a return ticket.
Yes says the ticket clerk and where to please ?
Back HERE of course

Why am I here?

God knows

Depends.

In an existentialist sense my answer would be around 24000 words so I'll pass on that for now.

As far as the site is concerned here is a post from earlier (since culled from a previous thread)

Now let me propose a little theory I have.

I reckon the majority who visit this site are coming for the entertainment factor, much for the same reasons Big Brother is always going to get higher ratings than The Money programme.

You know the witty badinage, the bloodshed, lynchings, public humiiiations, NOT for someone they don't know from Adam's opinion on whether the Dow Jones is going up or down next Tuesday.

Look at the hits on the Plain Vanilla thread alone. Do you really think all those thousands of views are from people wanting to write options?!

This site is the Jerry Springer show for traders.

I would like to c different entries, some recom.

and a little bit increasing acitivity while the market is outperforming in futs, forex and stocks.

Used to be 2. Now more 5. :)

A big part of why I come here is to fill a void in my trading day. In between trades (which can last hours & hours), i need buttons to click & keys to press.

I am all over the internet during quiet market periods, of which T2W probably consists of 1/2 of my intraday extra-curricular web surfing activity.

But when i see a potential trade opportunity on the horizon, it is time to remove all distractions, & focus on the job. At this point I close additional tabs, & refresh browsers in order to gain a few extra milliseconds of execution speed if & when i place the trade.

Working alone, i find that it is good to be in a some connection with other people, albeit not in real-time or in person.

I like to spot when some clueless sod is giving advice. When I was at Cambridge, we used to play 'spot the geek', and the place was bloody teeming with geeks. T2W serves kind of the same purpose. Trading is one hell of a funny business and it just knocks me out reading all this stuff from some disturbed characters as well as the analysts :cheesy: . You gotta laugh at something when your life involves sitting in front of 546 million machines with blinking green and red numbers, eh?

Someone said "Join Trade2Win plenty of loose skirt"
On reflection he probably said "Join Trade2Win plenty lose their shirt"

At this precise moment I'm waiting for something nasty to happen with the DJIA
and was hoping to guage the mood on the street.

Not that it would make any difference to my position.

I'm also waiting for a juicy piece of meat to be served up so better go...

Well Pat494..............................
There used to be about 50m sheep here - now it's about 25 I think, so we still get a great choice! ;)
As for the beer - it's terrible, apart from a few boutique models and of course some nice imports. A bit like the women I guess now that I think about it!
As for why I'm still here after 11 years.........
Some of the best trout fishing in the world
Sailing
Diving
Kayaking
Cheap Golf
MTB
Fantastic off-road running
Ski-ing on both islands
Cheap Flying
Great Climate
Great Beaches (where I am anyway)
Very Cheap Waterfront Property
etc
etc
Now, why was it I left and stay away from UK...........mmmmmmmmmmmm
ttfn, off to the beach

Glad you are having a great time Q. After the about the 10th pint I couldn't rightly remember where I was. Usually in some student dive in Grafton Rd. I hear its been sanitised ! Shame !!
Nearly got eaten by a shark off Whangerai beach but that's another story. ...........

Glad you had a good time here, even the sharks are friendly! Not like in Oz!
Can't believe you managed ten pints of cold fizzy stuff - I long for a Wadworths 6X, or Theakstons Best, or anything even remotely tasty and considered warm by some philistines! ;)
