Any Currency shocker

Can anybody tell me if this episode of CHF in Jan2015, is a one-off situation or there is history wherein there is a change of more than 5% in any currency on a single day??

This was the biggest day logged for CHF but >5% changes per day do happen. Rare but not rare enough and not small enough to ignore. A bit like earthquakes I suppose.

hi there,

1st of all its not a shocker that the floor was removed i have predicted this myself but i haven't knew it will be putten this aggressive way nor do the timing was an extremely surprising, people used to think banks cannot play with fx prices the chf event showed the opposite, being said that to me i think its more related to the economy bauble, call me crazy but no one could deny the baubles in history causing crises more than this the only way to trade fx nowadays is with big caution.
