Below post taken from ForexFactory - relates to trade expectancy and other matters relating to trading. The origiginal author acknowledges that what works for him (FEB2865) will not necessarily work for you. Nonetheless, a good read for the new trader and jaded grail/indicator hunter alike.

Hello, traders!

Last days I decided to re-fresh some thoughts in my mind, and was re-reading some of greatest feb's posts...

It "click" in my mind that I was missing something interesting about how to make $$$ consistetntly (lol...) - I forgot about something that feb2865 calls - "trade expectancy"!!!!!!!

Not sure how about you, but I think "in this thing" is the so called "edge" for this system - "The System II".

I made an PDF for your benefit... so - read it, it contains pure gold for someone who get it...

Good luck!

English is not the writers first language therefore please bear with the grammar errors in the PDF.

A great read! In fact I would say a must read.
I like the line "Yes it's good to have a mentor. But they can only show the way and you have to open the door with your own little hands"
He has been trading since 1981.

No offense kid but you seem to be a bit too impressionable. It is quite dangerous in this business.

Nearly all scammers start their forum posts by stating the obvious cliches which slowly turns into a method or system of trading after which a new paid subscription website is opened. People are made fool of and then they disappear only to appear back using a different name.

Watch the charts and learn the behaviour of price on your own. Then do experiments and make your method.

OR if you really want "mentor" be a coffee boy of well known floor trader or a hedge fund manager.

You either learn it yourself or from actually LIVE people in person.

Tudor Jones learnt his skills from his cotton trader relative. Tom Baldwin learnt it in the pits from monitoring other traders. Warren Buffet learnt it from Benjamin Graham by "WORKING" with him.

Find some one who you want to be your mentor..then find a job with their company if they run it or else form your own opinion and work on it.

Every trader on this forum and forums around the internet ultimately setup a subscription website. They build a signal selling business by building a brand name first and then luring in customers.

If you do not have the ability to pick up ideas from others, then why do you bother to be a member of a forum? That is the only reason I know for me being here, at least. Whether anyone is a scammer, or not, should become very apparent as soon as he asks for money. He will, sooner or later. It goes with the profession. In the meantime, read all you can and don't press any buttons or give details of any kind.

I found feb very interesting for the first half dozen pages. Then the other posters came in and the thread gets tedious, then.

Well said Split(y)

I have only read the first PDF, but it is the finest eight page document ever written on trading. IMO.
Thanks for posting.

actually thought safvan's post very good and observant of interweb forum activities and such.

though i'm not commenting on any connection there per say on neils links, i've not clicked to form a judgement. i'm sure they're very interesting articles in their own right. just saying :D

As I said, finest 8 page essay I have ever read. Maybe the guy is a vender, I don't know.
Just a little tired of the condescension from the poppy farming Afgani.

indeed i will read it later, and if i have time i may look see if i can sniff out any vendoring. unlikely on ff, on the main boards that is. though it depends where the pdf resides? they do have an area for vendors to lurk.

oh dear some fawning acolyte behaviour going on

You are Great Master, you are Great Teacher! You are GREAT MAN!

THANK YOU for your wisdom!!!

also vendor'ish activities detected centering around the System II thread. doesn't involve the op by all accounts, i guess you'd have had to have been on the scene live, for the full lulz and wotnot, when that broke surface

anyway that was a quick scan through, looks an interesting read nonetheless, have bookmarked and look forward to a weekends read up.
