The World Money Show-London, November

Better just stay in the pub. At least you'll get what you pay for there.

Don’t be like that; I won’t be paying for anything. It’s a good excuse to get out for the day, meet up with some mates, and check out the dolly sales girls. All with the back drop of charts and stuff.

It's good to be positive and try to enjoy the experience, but realistically there are lots of vendors trying to sell you trading systems, gold, oil wells, various subscriptions, old and new trading books etc. and that is the main reason behind the show.

Still - one can enjoy, especially if you can see the funny side of all that - vendors trying to find the recruits for their trading academies etc. Also they used to give a free drink at the end.

well mate, maybe that sounds a lot like grabbing a few tinnies, the bag of obligatory popcorn and tuning into t2w. hey, why bother to travel :D

Maybe to check out the dolly sales girls as Jason suggested;)

Maybe I am perverted but the sight of beautiful women in short skirts, tight tops and talking to me about Trade Station really did it for me at the Traders Expo in April. Some guys like girls with guns or PVC, I like girls with charts, what can I say, all my favourite things at once.

Also I got a chance to chat to John Carter and some of the brokers out there and all for free plus a couple of free drinks.

Although I am very very inexperienced and have never live traded... I might make an appearance as it's free and not too far from me. Although there does seem to be a lot of negatives people are throwing around.

Go for it, it will be fine. Just go with the attitude that everyone there will have something to sell. A platform, a book, mentorship etc. (that is what the negative people are talking about). Go to as many free talks as you can and don’t take anything at face value. It is a good insight into the retail trading machinery.

Great, registered for this event, thank you for sharing and maybe see you there. Do you know if there are any rules regarding photography?

The last time I went to this event some chav from Montague Pittman was hounding me to sign some form to allow them to contact me about 'trading signals'. Within six months Montague Pitmann were bust having churned and burned investors accounts. No doubt many of the investors had been recruited at events such as this. If you know nothing about trading this is probably the worst thing you could go to, it's not only useless it's dangerous.

It's interesting to see how they use the latest psychological techniques of persuasion. Go for one of the trading systems presentations done by professional salesmen and observe the audience reactions.

I was impressed last time - quite a performance.

PS I took few pictures with my mobile - nobody complained about it.

:LOL:About 10 years ago I went to a fake auction run by con men. I knew how the con works and wanted to see it in action.

I purely went with intention of watching the psychology at play, to see how they hyped up the audience to buy rubbish.

These guys were so clever at what they did. Still to this day I cannot work out how I stuck my hand up and bought a worthless cheap perfume for £15!! I could not believe it, it was so involuntary and I only went along in the same way you might watch a magician, just to work out there tricks.

I would have put money down before hand on the fact I would not part with any cash at all.

Some guys just like other guys esp ones with Carter in their name. Thats the real reason Jason innit.

Well whatever you do at that show dont get talked into buying shares in some OTC mining or gold investment company. There are several attending the show, no doubt offering to make you rich.
