Hi all,
Any experienced traders have any opinions ?
Would it make more sense to use TA with FTSE top 350 shares ?

Newcomer to TA, so sorry if there is an obvious answer.

Cheers

TA does not work with AIM shares.

Nor, it must be said, does it work with FTSE 350 shares.

You seem to be pretty much against most methodologies used in this forum.

Curious to know what you use? I myself am not overly fond of technicals either, however, I do use them to guide my trades

I use my skill and experience and attempt to interpret what the market is telling me. I suppose most people would look at what I do and call it price action, although it isn't really.

Price action is another thing which doesn't work, along with support and resistance and all the other stuff.

I am not against any of the methodologies that people use, I just acknowledge that none of them work.

TBH I completely agree with Paz on TA being useless with AIM and most FTSE 350.

One simple reason - the T&S live prices are not reflected on the charts.
What you get instead is the mid calculated from the worst bid ask, which gives pretty
square wave charts in a lot of cases...
Add to that the lack of liquidity and chart TA is pretty much bo11ox.

T&S just after news watching for big movements (in AIM terms at least) is better.
IB's do trade AIM, look for round qty size trades - £50k+ in value. Ignore the shrapnel trades.

Actually, saying that, better to stay away from AIM altogether.
I'd start off with FTSE 100 stocks on daily charts and take it from there.
