I have read many books and watch many courses. I have been doing this for years and recently started to put together a list with my opinions about the different teachers.

Instead of pasting the long list here, please go and read it in my blog:

http://truthintrading.blogspot.com/

I hope advertising my blog is allowed (no, I am not selling anything there, no affiliate links or other bs either - I make enough by trading).

I hope mods don't mind me posting this in this subforum. I didnt find any trading reviews subforum that would fit so I am posting it here.

Please tell me what you think about my blog. I will add more to it if enough people are interested,

That's all you need to say to review them, in a sense, d u c y?

It seems a lot of the people who win are only doing it to promote their courses. Which tend to be rubbish and they are then exposed for being unprofitable traders.

Might have to enter one

Would be a fun thing to write on CV or have the certificate on top of the trading desk!

For the trading methodology contest that I cited for many traders, the organizers invited a bunch of well known gurus that were already teaching at that time.

Here is a funny tidbit that I found

There's a need to address some of Greg Meadors' comments from the last issue of CTCN regarding the Methodology Showdown. True, I conceived the idea for this three year trading contest, but with the stipulation that it be with real money and with the participants all trading at the same firm. I even had a company lined up to handle this task and at reasonable commission rates of under $25. But alas, none of the so-called experts contacted were willing to trade with real money citing the fact that $50,000 was above their means. That alone should tell you something about these legends in their own minds. Making predictions via hotlines and newsletters are one thing, but never ask these guys to put their money where their mouth is. As a result, this contest then dissolved into a meaningless paper trading match at a simulated trading firm with the competitors trading like a bunch of crash test dummies. Note the text that I put in bold :cheesy:

Other than that, there are plenty of trading contests organized all the time. You probably can enter by paying some sort of entrance fee.

Then if you take lots of risks and hit the jackpot, you can look forward to making big $$$ by selling your courses/books/indicator/whatever...

I think the point is - the fact that you have read many books & taken many courses might say as much about you as them...

How many courses do you plan to take in the future?

I have pretty deep pockets so I would guess until I find another hobby that I like more.

A fool and his money are soon parted - in your case it may take a little while to empty your deep pockets, but not that long.

or- you have a learning difficulty that prevents you from fruitful study. Hoping to find a grail or for someone to spoon feed you knowledge will similarly result in you being easily parted from your "deep pockets."

As you have already been informed - all the info needed is on these threads but you must sift and experiment. Requires effort I know, but you could even report back on your forays into forex for comment from t2w boards.

Or may your next "hobby" require less mental effort from yourself. Since you seem to dislike advice (judging by your less than mature comment above) I would suggest a solitary hobby such as train spotting.

Nonetheless - Merry Christmas:)
