OK - so let me get this right.

T2W now has a section for religious nuts. Their posts will appear when you click 'New Posts' yet only approved members may put replies there.

And the title of said forum is 'The TRUTH'. :eek: :eek:

One can only marvel at how this will look to first time visitors :rolleyes:
 
The TRUTH is they are now in a self-contained world of their own.

Perhaps I'm the only one that sees this from the eyes of a newbie.

By T2W having something on the board under the heading 'The TRUTH', it does rather imply that T2W considers the lunacy in there to be the T2W line too.

How about renaming it to "The Bo11ocks" ?
 
It's a short term solution that is likely to cause a long term problem if you ask me.

It seams to me that T2W are facing a real problem. There seams to be an absence of posts, and thread that are started soon fizzle out.

Those who might be able to assist cant actually discuss trading ralated issues, because the information that might assist people, is counter productive to the sites true adgenda. Anyone who dares post material of any quality faces the risk of a ban, and those of us just kicking around waiting for the ban to be applied really cant be bothered to post anything at all, let alone anything remotely interesting or challenging

So that being the case, any post is better than no traffic at all. The only threads that are showing activity have been those by options and other associated lulz. I really cant see how it can possibly change. Its a natuaral cycle, forums flourish, and they die, and there's not a great deal you can do about it. People will gravitate away form a community in decline and towards a flourishing community, even if its not necessarily in their best interests.

If you really care, all you can do is take proactive steps by offering alternative content, dumbed down enough to pass under the censors radar, and lulzy enough to gain an audience.
 
or you could move to propboards, except everyone there, including me, is too lazy to start anything more than a token thread. But as a forum for serious traders it has potential - the ground rules being that anyone serious* can stay in and post anything they like - expressly including lulz - while nuisances are silenced ruthlessly.

*That doesn't mean prop/institutional trader per se - there's a couple of home trading regs in the STIRs chat, which does have activity, unlike the board - it means someone who knows what they're doing. Certainly every poster in this thread so far would be most welcome I think.

Religion will be discussed. Whether you like it or not, (and you obviously don't). Religion is all around you in many guises. I am not religious. I have stated that previously. Other posters will be religious. Their choice obviously, whatever faith or creed they follow.

Yes. Only 'approved' members can post. Anyone can view if they want to.
BUT Anyone will be allowed in and approved, even you.
It will be conditional though that ALL posters will afford other posters common courtesy. That means no flippant posts that say nothing of any value. No derogatory posts. And no posts that contain swearing and are abusive to others.
If they don't like those conditions they can just **** off!

Seriously. The new posts will pop up with the main lot. Can't do anything about, that's just how it is. But to misquote. 'If the sight offends thee. pluck out thy eyes'

Seriously again. Don't view, find the ignore button, have the strength of will (nice chap) to stay away if it upsets you at all.
The thread will be censored on the above, and any censures moved elsewhere.

Seriously - the people running this forum are a bit naive if they allow the total horse****e being posted in that part of the forum to pop up under the banner "The TRUTH".

Options - you and I both know why you chose that name. It is merely a form of manipulation to make that area appear to be something it isn't.

The fact that the people running this board are too naive to realise what you are doing is quite astounding.

I'll tell you what - Options is a lot more streetwise than the board owners. Shame he went overboard on the meth though.

Options - all I see are quotes from a book and some rants about the quotes.

Anyone astounded by this should go out and read a really good book. I'd start with Huxley's Brave New World.

I find the style of fiction in the bible too dated for my entertainment needs.
