Car Help...?

As the majority of this forum is men...I need some advice!

I'm don't really "understand" cars except if they look pretty or not :eek:

I'm looking at ordering a new car in a few weeks time - I'm looking at an Audi A/S5 but a few people have told me to look at an Audi RS4.

At the moment I drive a 58 Reg Audi A4...what is the difference between an Audi A4 and an Audi RS4? And which out of all 3 is better?

I had my heart set on the S5 but many male friends are saying the RS4.

I don't understand the difference :(

Whatever I get I want in Iris White with Red Leather (or Black - haven't picked) and it will be brand new...but I'm a bit stupid with things like that.

It might sound bad...but I don't really mind about engine sizes, horse power and so on.

Generally speaking the S5 is more the comfortable pick..But based on what we men call power :)
and engine sizes, the RS4 is the better pick... it's the more sporty one...

But price is the big issue an S5 is around 30-40k and the RS4 is around 40-50k..So if you've got money to burn I suggest getting the RS4 but even if you get the S5 I wouldn't be to dissapointed and if even you keep the A4 it's not a bad result it's still a 58 reg...I could drive that for 10 years :D

BTW at the mo I own A8 57 reg but I'm not looking to change anytime soon..
 
RS4 is i think quicker than a Porsche, so if you buy the estate you can take rover to the shops with you...but he may be a bit ill if you put your foot down!!!!

S5 is a sporty coupe and would be enough for anyone but if you want to push the boat out a bit the then the RS4 is probably close to getting a supercar as a saloon
 
Heck S5 is a gorgeous car, group designer da Silva claimed that was his masterpiece.

I'm in that camp all the way.

Dunno about white, but in black ???

That said, havent checked prices in UK, but for the price of a new S5 you should be able to get a second hand R8.

Stil prefer black, but do see why people like white.
 
Mate S5 might look better but I have driven the RS4 and it drives like a beauty

Btw, at the Frankfurt IAA, our biggest car show, next month there is a range topping RS5 coming out.

That said, I'd seriously consider a second hand R8 for the money of a new S5 or RS5.

Spot on. Insurance co's will rape you. Statistically, you're more likely to kill yourself with that amount of power especially if you don't know much about cars beyond what is pretty.

Anyway, why the hell do you want a family car? Get a sporty 2 seater like a Z4 M roadster or something else for summer fun. Get a family car when you have two kids.
