"A man who slipped into a diabetic coma on a bus was shot twice with a Taser gun because police mistook him for an Arab suicide bomber.
Nicholas Gaubert, 34, had left work and was on his way to meet friends when he suffered a hypoglycaemic attack on the top deck of a bus in Leeds. When he was found slumped in his seat at the end of the journey, clutching a black rucksack, the bus driver became suspicious and an armed police unit was called into action.
Firearms officers boarded the empty vehicle, which had arrived at a bus depot, and,
when the helpless man was unable to respond to their instructions, they shot him twice with the electric stun gun. When he later came round, handcuffed, in the back of a police van, Mr Gaubert, a call-centre worker, thought initially that he had been kidnapped. He was told that he had been arrested as a suspected terrorist.
Only when Mr Gaubert explained that he had diabetes and needed urgent medical attention did the police take him to hospital, where they insisted that he should remain in handcuffs during his treatment. He says that when West Yorkshire Police finally realised they had detained an innocent man, he was offered only a half-hearted apology and told that officers had thought he “looked Egyptian”. ...

I do not think the Police should be armed with tasers, I think the "terror threat" and continued perceived "threat to the nation" is being used as a reason for introducing more effective mass surveillance & control measures to monitor civilians en-masse.
Western societies seem to be going backwards with "being OK" in electrocuting fellow humans . Why are our schools not teaching peace, love ,acceptance & tolerance of our neighbours ?
You see all these adverts on TV in the UK about educating and raising awareness about people who may have disabilities and them not being able to respond like "normal ability" individuals when out in public ? Great , I hope the Police are aware of that ?
Only as in the above article, that chaps "failure to respond properly" resulted in him being electrocuted .
Another thing, everyone has the right to say absolutely nothing AT ALL TIMES if they want to. Does that when mean you are not responding properly ? And at risk or being electrocuted ? (looks like it, what a lovely place to live)
Statute Legislation Has Gone Mad ! Those are policies for the benefit of the Crown Corporation and not Common Law of the people. And this land is supposed to still be a Common Law Jurisdiction.
Please sir can we have some more..... yes thousands more statutes from the EU please lets bury the Kingdoms Common Law and hoodwink people to think Statute Legislation drawn up by commercial entities is LAW OF THE LAND.
