Thumbs up Why 2008 will be a good year

I just found a funny and interesting explanation for that

Why 2008 will be a great year … | Riding the DAX

What about putting out some reasons for a good year 2008 then?

Here come my reasons:

- I will double my size from next year on. Should mean more profits
- I will introduce progressively tightening trailing stops (time is a factor). Found out, that this brings me every day a slight "add-on"(more gain or less pain)
- I will take more time off, especially during the day as I found out, that all trading between 14h and 16h (German time) is fruitless for me Only robs concentration for the afternoon

To ALL again a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Waiting for your reasons, to include later one thing:
- Being on t2w

No pills at all, just research
Research gives me confidence and it will be within my RISK parameters

This is why

Good luck DaxTrader mate... It will be interesting trading alongside you on the DAX which I'm relatively new to.

I too was considering raising my trading size but may let my expectancy ratios improve a little more...

Averaging 50 trades a month. November was 60.

Win / Loss ratios 63% / 37%.

I must improve on letting winners run and to cut losses sooner...

Risk/Reward ratio 1/2. (1 to 3 I pulled out of text book, I could not manage)

Nice to see you have met Yacarob1... He is a special one from up North

For me, as an amateur, I have finally worked out how to enter a trend at the best time (ie not just as it's about to fall back to a retracement level ) and how to place stops that are just right (à la Goldilocks - not too big and not too small). I feel I have finally developed a life skill. It's making sense at last.

For 2008.... I will be in the market finally. I will be in around Jan 20 th. I have been studying TA for the last 2 years and doing well on paper. I know I will still have some lessons to learn in the market that I cannot learn from papaer and emotion has a lot to do with it. My goal is to stay in the market and not go bust, yet return a modest return. Happy New Years to all and to all... U know that one.

Thank you very much
I hope, the guy from the North is not always this precise

The 3 to 1 reward ratio is not related to a 60plus ratio, so don't feel bad.

I think, you are already better than you think
Take care!
