Been away for a bit, just catching up...looks like the usual members report posts, mods have to act on report posts, all comes down to who's doing the reporting....members mod then mods mod, that pretty much sums up how it works.
Every member's viewpoint is completely different
Course, the mods just get blamed for everything !!!!!!!

If they are reported they are also addressed and have been on many occasions but again we don't go looking for them.
I thought Pat's posts were amusement. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm sure the stuff I did see wasn't targeting me.
Arguments about whether a contributor is making real trades or just bluffing (like anglers' arguments about the one that got away) are part of the game I thought but maybe there was more going on here?

I'm sorry to hear it. I'd be a little more confident about the forum's survival if reports from logged-in members were even anonymous, so that it couldn't possibly ever come down to "who's doing the reporting", and had at least some pretence of or aspiration towards objectivity.
It surely ought to be about the content of the report, and a moderator's assessment of the post/thread complained about, rather than about "who sent it"?

Surely is not easy and I sympathise with you guys but I think you also have to entertain the idea to delete others thread were the spread of BS is daily distributed, otherwise the actual forum will became a joke.
The crude reality is that a charlatan creates movement and readership and based on that the forum is able to sell advertising space...... but in the long run when the non charlatan will withdraw from the site (rightly) you are only left with charlatans and not readership, so if I was you (forum) I would look at quality than quantity, it is your responsibility as is ours (members) to filter the nonsense.

agreed, only recently 15000 pips per month is now quite attainable.

this is exactly what other forum members are attempting to do, but they have the thread deleted, said in an amusing way and quite frankly who cares whether it was the same person but under a different guise
