OK to kick off- it really bugs me when I see someone dropping litter when there is a litter bin a few yards away !

Let's hear your pet rave or rant !!!

Ugh ha and ? Or am I asking too hard a question ?

:)

To keep it at a third person level, I agree with you. The public is scruffy. Barcelona could be much nicer looking than it is. Litter, dog **** and cigarette butts outside the buildings. On the trains fast food packets, empty cans on the floor and the smell of people munching away on sandwiches, nuts and whatever. That last really does make me want to change carriages!

We have a great rubbish collection, on a daily basis, and yet people can`t be bothered to put the stuff in the containers--they simply leave it on the pavement.

Not much really annoys me. Not because bad stuff isn't all around, it's because there's no time to get steamed up about it with all the good stuff going on.

politicians
religous nutters
stupid people
practically everyone employed in the public sector
"cutomer support" drones
The infestation of stupid acronyms into our language such as "PIN number", which may be expanded as "personal identification number number". or ATM Machine, LCD Display etc.
Did I mention politicians ?

ditto on politicians - they never seem to make the decisions that will benefit the country. Maybe it's because it's the only profession that requires nil qualifications, ability or experience yet we trust an entire country's survival on them. Disastrous as now shown by the present world economic crisis that need not ever have happened.

I'm sure that you'd like me, if you knew me better. There aren't many of us about, you know, once the above mentioned have been eliminated.

English people nattering about absolute crap like it is really of life importance...
In fact...I'll just sum it up with England. Everything in England can be summed up by the words grey and/or overcast.

English weather gets a bad name. But if you're in a city, it's pretty much irrelevant: what does it matter in the warm home or air conditioned office or tube train if it's raining or snowing or sunny outside?

If you're out on foot in the country, it's either a spectacular drama or a worthy and trickie adversary - either way, somewhere like Dartmoor shows it off at its best.

I didn't mean the weather, despite using the words grey and overcast, I meant life in general in the UK. Plus it's very expensive in the UK.

Agreed...Dartmoor is nice but it's nothing in comparison to the wilderness you get in North America, Canada, or the climate you get in Australia, Southern Europe. Food is crap in UK too. :sneaky:

Life's as colourful as you make it. This is not a cheap country to live in, but the value per year invested living here is incredible. And Dartmoor is not 'nice', it has indeed killed a few people. And why are you eating crap food?

where else have you lived?
Tell me somewhere else where I can get decent food apart from SainsberTescMorrWaito. Other countries have fresh stuff at very reasonable prices. It seems to me like we're living in the United Price Fixing Kingdom.
