If the profit per trade is low and you need to invest a lot of money to earn more, why is Forex good for trading?

I like forex because still have opportunity to making money from this business, sometime use big capital not guarantee getting better result, but not always start small capital then can't making profit, I think many trader still trade forex because they will have expectation to making money

Leverage use allows traders to scale up returns from small moves in exchange rates.

This is one feature that very useful especially for retail trader which only having small capital, some broker now offer high leverage till 1:1000 and high leverage actually also like as double edge of swords, we should use margin wisely

Hey Yamaguchi, I believe this question is similar to your question about daytrading.

I think your understanding/presumptions here might be a little off. :|

The profit per trade is not low - but you do need to have a good understanding or risk and money management.

Secondly, the leveraging for fx is much higher than compared to investing in stocks (unless you are using CFD's or spreadbets for stocks) or futures for example. Thus, you don't need to "invest a lot of money to earn more".

Forex is a very flexible business and here you are the boss and can make money with the high comfort level with not much money investment because here the skill and experience matters a lot ,people have to be show their patience so that they can get the maximum profit in short period of time .

Then why don't you trade forex instead of running a business ? It'd save the spamming.

because like any form of trading if you specialise in your area and know what you are doing........ you will make money eventually with practice and experience

Because its one big game of strategy ! And anyone can play! And i'm **** at chess

Ff is right......remember trading the main currencies like the g8 is a zero sum game.....(unlike any other market)......so plenty of opportunities if you pick the correct movers ....(y)

Because high leverage, low margin requirements, good liquidity. Market like any other. Trends, ranges.
If your profit per trade is low, increase lot size ;)

People love forex because there is a low chances of getting loss. If you know about Forex well and have determination with knowledge. You can easily earn from forex.

As an Options trader I love surprises. Volatility always matters to my Vega and since my risk is limited to my premium, it is still pretty dull. That's the beauty of Vanilla Options. Yesterday Yen was moving higher had a 2 day expiry out of the money Put Option on the Sterling Yen trade doubled my premium before market close. Not many people can boast 100% gain on any trade, so I love my FX Options. Aussie didn't treat me right to day but I don't expire till the 10am NY cut tomorrow, so I am still in the running, I just need to see 0.7130 again and I will be happy. Stop losses don't matter to me. I trade Options :)

In case some of you are lost, there is a great Vanilla Options blog here.
