London forex show any good?

has anyone been to this before ?

could be fun, wondering if it's worth the £25 entry fee

its full of vendors trying to get your money. Some of them attempt to show how to trade using set out examples which is all hindsight. Even if they were showing how to trade it would be using their proprietary platform\indicators\strategy which is another joke because it is inherently difficult to learn a method devised by someone else. I suggest spending that time on your pc doing your own research or testing.

Thanks, had a feeling it might be something like that. Looks like i'll stick to my own backtesting and reading

Been to similar event in same series I think. Can be useful to see what other people are buying into. If you only pick up 1 good trading idea (either something to do or something to avoid!) that could easily pay for the entry and travel.

Very often the presentations, especially the Q&A will be most useful parts of the day.

Hi lordgeorge,
forker's views air on the side of being cynical but, to be fair, there's good reason for that! Most of these events are about selling trading products and services to the punters who attend. Expecting them to pay £25.00 for the privilege strikes me as a tad rich, especially as the whole event looks a bit thin on the ground.

In the interests of balance and fair play, I've always had time for both Sandy Jajeda and Alpesh Patel and I would attend both their workshops. I've not met either of them, although I've had dealings with Sandy over the years and I read a basic - but perfectly good - book by Alpesh when I first got into trading many years ago. Potentially, the most interesting event of the day is the 90 minute 'trade off' between Charlie Burton and Alistair Crooks. However, the details are so skimpy, it's not clear (to me anyway) what one will be getting for one's money. If I lived in London, would I pay £25.00 to attend? No, probably not if I'm honest.

If you go - do please post your impressions!
