Hello everyone, I have been testing a system live and not simulated for a while now (about 6 months) but using small amounts. It yielded the following results :
In a typical week it generates about 20 entry signals with a win ratio of about 63%. Average number of pips when profitable is +23 pips and the average number of pips when losing is -11 pips, I want to increase my account to trade using this strategy. What I want to find out from you all is does it look like something within the norm? Thanx in advance

With a win rate of 63% and the winners being double the losers, it is going to systematically make money over the long term with sensible money management, isn't it?

Why do you need to know anything else?

so what is your total number of actual live trades so far, and what FX pair is this for ?

So far I have had 481 trades and strictly on eur/usd. Regarding previous post as well, I wanted feedback from experienced traders whether this is a sort of return they get. This is just to see whether this would be regarded as an ok system, a good system or something else.

Without knowing any more about your methods, I would put it in the excellent category, particularly given the high number of trades, very very hard to achieve. HIgh frequency 50/50 with winners double the size of losers is good enough for me

I will increase my account size next week and see how it performs over the next 6 months. I have also attached a graph in excel of the performance thus far. Any comments would be much appreciated thanx

Those flat periods range from 5 - 7 weeks, though I have to admit during the first flat I was doing trading part time and missed some great setups. For the next 6 months I will trade the larger account full time. I am very happy with my entries and exits, but I feel that I can improve my win ratio a few percentage points

Well done the profit ratio is higher than many of the taouted holy grail systems. Is the system automated based on technical indicators and how as news stories of economic results affected the system result.

Hi Efon, the system is not automated, though I am thinking of doing that though I am not a whiz kid so would need pointers on that one. That would at least ensure I dont miss good setups like I did initially. Any good programs out there? Regarding economic results, I try not to be in a trade prior to major economic data coming out. Yesterday for instance I traded after the NFP came out and got a good short on eur/usd
