Automated Forex Trading

What do think about it?
Do you know the profitable forex robots?
Do you recommend for me any robots?

At the retail level there aren't any (probably) or at least if there are someone is keeping quite about it. You almost certainly won't find one for $49.99 from one of the snake oil vendors. This is not to say that some won't have their day but success in trading should be measured by longevity and consistent reliable income/profitability not the occassional good run or big score and inevitable blow out.

Look at the My Journal 3 thread by Travis - no one I know of has worked harder/more diiligently on this than him (whether or not you/I agree with where/how he places his efforts) and he is still as yet to achieve that definition of success.

Unrelated to the above paragraph (in case anyone gets upset) In case you are about to set off on a search and throw money at it - Never say never is not a strategy you can take to the bank !

I do not prefer to Automated Forex Trading. I like to manual forex trading and due to this don't have deep info about forex robots.

I wouldn't trust an automated system for FOREX trading. I have worked a lot in the field of automatization and have insight into the processes of such systems. In my opinion they are completely useless for FOREX trading. There may be automated systems that are useful to support the trader but robots are unable to continue making profits without the humans.

Certainly, I wouldn't trust one written by someone else! How do you know if it has a bug or not that will dump your entire account if it gets confused?

As to whether it's possible, I'm sure it's possible but I can't do it. Just like I can't run a 4 minute mile.

I am trading only using automated systems, because psychological stress did not affect the results. I have bad experience using manual trading...

In my opinion isntitutional invetors can use robots effectively for long-term investments so that they don't distort prices with big volume and get them at better price.

my humble opinion:
I don't know of (but I'm building mine)
First, one have to separate people who trade the market from those who sell systems. It's a case of goals who have opposite directions.
Sellers who put the best effort on the best ever product don't sell much
People who trade the market are forced to make a system that works otherwise no $$$

Second, if you have built the robot and done the right statistical analysis on it, you are confident it works (so you let statistics do the job and let it run), find out bugs. You have control over it.

Third, you win when others lose. You really sure anyone with a winning system would sell it? If I had such a system, I'd sell it for million $$$.

If you have skills in trading, find someone who complements you and build a team to create automated systems. btw I'm doing this right know, getting in contact with knowledgeable people.
