Best Spreads on GBPUSD ??

Hi All

I trade short term , really scalping so spreads are important to me .I am looking at Alpari but 3 pip spreads on most of the Majors. I have traded extensively thru CMC (not too bad generally), but there spreads have increased recently.
Is 3 pips spread the best currently??

Cantor Index had 2 pip spread on GBPUSD last time I looked and also 1 pip on EURUSD.

Friends it all depends on the services brokers are providing. All forex brokers have different spread rates and also have some different services too. But when we look deeply to their services we find they are almost same.

Yes . there doesnt seem to be a huge difference between any of the brokers. The system i trade is short term , so spread is important. As GJ says Liquidity is the issue currently.

There are brokers around providing very less spreads in every currency and commodities. Which helps to attract clients to generate more and more brokerage. It is same with AVAFX broker too they are also providing less spread for trading.

They are a nice online broker with some nice trading services.

Hi Jeff

i just had a look at AVAFX , currently showing

GBP / USD 1.4484 / 1.4488 4 pip spread , CMC are 5 pips as i type . I am in australia , so the spread possibly reduces for the European /US session.

Have you traded vis AVAFX??

I know somewhere you can get a great spread, tight or as wide as you like, cheap too

MIG offers 3 pips on USD/GBP for standard account and 2 pips for institutionla account, spread is fixed.
