You dont think this is just a tad misleading? I mean they're only giving you some of your own money back, youre not really getting 'paid to trade'.

As for the brokers forex.com were fined $450,000 recently for, and I quote, 'abusive margin, liquidation and price slippage practices'.

What next, a T2W online training course and then a guaranteed job at Goldman Sachs?

At least they managed to slip the word EASY into the speil, that alone usually sets off the alarm bells:idea:

I thought T2W was a resource, haven maybe, for tyro traders and the more experienced to discuss and improve one's bottom line. Even Vendors were given a time honoured grilling/bashing yet some remained with integrity intact. However, it is disconcerting to see this site beginning to treat its' readers as vendor fodder. Has T2W lost its' way?
Does it really matter! Since most sites rely on advertising and this site is crawling with adverts. There must be other sites out there with the integrity to put the trader/tyro first ?
But I notice that many of the old guard have moved on; I post little of educational value anymore since I get bored repeating myself; and if I didn't need the virtual company to fill in the quiet periods between trades I suppose I seek other sites but I do enjoy reading posts from the very few remaining good traders that still infrequently post on T2W. When they fade away, all three of them, I shall go elsewhere for my daily trader contact.
So, perhaps my post is pointless since my opinion carries no weight but at least I feel better for expressing it and it filled a brief void in my trading day:)

I find it astounding that this shocks anyone... The groundwork for this type of shenanigans was being laid when I first joined. Maybe the popularity of threads by the likes of trader_dante raised the odd eyebrow...

I only even post on here as I'm a creature of habit. I have the email addresses of anyone I'm i-friendly with.

Rot is really setting in now.

T2W seems to have an amazing knack for choosing embarrassing partners. FXCM as their preferred broker, they get fined $20 odd million, Baghdady as a partner, he gets caught faking a world champion claim, the Australian that ran the LTG nonsense - partner offer, Secker - partner offer. Now they end up doing a 'get paid to trade' offer with Gain Capital.

I suppose in one way it's very difficult to find people in this game that aren't in some way involved in dodgy business. Perhaps they just don't care any more.

agree - not that i posted anything of worth anyway.

all the forums are the same.

as i posted on forexfactory - there hasnt been anything of note on the forums for a long time, i truly believe numbers are dwindling - i havent found anything of worth for a long time. There must be factors for this... here are my top conspiracies

1. realisation no one actually makes any money trading forex and its a self perpetuating economy of corruption which never tires of new fodder - be it brokers/software vendors/systems/web affiliates/forum owners
2. the people employed by the firms to handle PR moved over to bots to post crap and stopped employing real people to post
3. everyone made so much money they buggered off
4. skype is better for us
5. stonking realisation 99.9% of stuff on the forums is garbage
6. moaning fu ckers like me

cue irony call.

At least it's not as bad as Forex factory with the whole Jacko episo.... oh hang on..... kin wasps, that got the little bugger, now where was I, er,ah nevermind.

Sure is scammy old world in the trading arena:eek:

You cant really blame them. People are dumb enough to fall for it, and if Sharky and the boys where not juicing the membership then someone else would.

I really wouldnt have thought that you could have dumbed down the content quite so much, or treated the membership with such blatent contempt and still found punters. I'm quite interested in seeing just how low they can go, and still function, surely they cant be too far away from the end now.

Well pb, I dunno about the guaranteed job with Golman's, but a T2W online training course is a great idea! I wonder, where would be a good place to begin? How about this:

Chapter 1: Choosing a Broker
If you've decided to make your fortune by trading the forex market - pat yourself on the back. Among the numerous resources right here on T2W, you now have the option to select a broker that enables you to get a rebate on each and every trade you make. Until now, that's money that would have gone out of your account - never to be seen again. Just another great example of how T2W goes that extra mile to look after its members!
:p

That's not quite the same as saying 'get paid to trade', which is how it is worded. Plus if you were being so responsible wouldn't you be steering members away from firms like this due to er, let's call it previous 'form'.

Give Terry at Learn Express a shout, he'll set you straight. Just don't let him write the testimonials for you, well not the ones with photos anyhow.

But that's the point Hare. Whose going to buy more stuff from advertisers, me or some guy that just heard about forex last week?

I wonder where the money will come from to pay us this generous rebate. Surely, the brokers won't add extra slippage to our trades, so that we are, in fact, the ones paying for this. What a warped and cynical mind I have.:whistling

You're nearly as bad as me then alan, I was looking at their spreads and thought they'd already priced two or three times the cost of the rebate into the spread, add your slippage on top they must be making a right killing(y)

I know I'm a cynical old wotsit but, I've been around the business world for over 50 years. In all my business experience, I have never come across anything that challenged banks or insurance companies, when it came to legalised theft. That was until I discovered brokers who offer spot forex trading!!!!!!!

I must admit when I first dipped my toe into the world of trading I was expecting it to be the bowler hat and braces brigade with a lot of ya,ya,ya, anyone for a glass of champoo. Little did I know that I would be able to find higher moral standards in a group of granny bashing scag heads.

I'm as appalled as most people at the depths they've sunk to, although I do find it quite funny.

The sad truth is that most people need to learn first hand why trading with the likes of cmc, fxcm or gain capital isnt a particularly good idea !

By partnering with, and promoting these types of companies T2W are probably doing people a massive favour. In all likelihood once people have been taken to the cleaners by t2w and their partners in crime, hopefully they wont believe another single word written here, and at that point theres a slim chance they might actually start to think for themselves and make progress.

T2W is a business, and they are probably no more or less ethical than many others. Its hard to name one product or company anywhere on the planet that doesnt make exagerated claims, (or more accurately lie).

Again its just another example of t2w's hypocrisy, claiming to help, whilst deliberately shafting their members and leading them like lambs to the slaughter (which is good cos we need more lambs to be slaughtered).

I'm starting a cash in transit business with Ronnie Biggs, anybody interested in giving me some money to deliver?

I've got a job for you. A lady, called Merkel, phoned me from Berlin and wondered whether you could deliver €1 trillion to a Mr. Stavros Poppadopoulos, somewhere in Athens. This is very confidential as, she is worried that secret agents in Spain, Italy and Portugal may try and sabotage the delivery. Can you handle this?:)
