End of day stops

This is a discussion on End of day stops within the First Steps forums, part of the New Traders category; This is probably a very dumb question. I want to place end of day stop positions rather than continuous stops ...

Default End of day stops

This is probably a very dumb question. I want to place end of day stop positions rather than continuous stops (i.e. I want the spread at the end of the day to determine whether the stop is triggered rather than on a 24 hour basis).

I have been told that this is possible but I have asked both IG Index and Cantor Index and they both say they don't do this.

Is this right - or am I not describing what I mean correctly? Is this sort of stop possible or have I been misled?

Thanks

I would think it is only possible if you remove the stop during the futures trading hours. Otherwise a stop could be triggered before or after the market has opened.
