Two quick SB / CFD questions

Hi All

1) I hear that there are only 3 or 4 real spread bet operators in the UK, the rest are white labels - is that correct and does anyone know who those companies are please?

2) CFD obviously has large institutional flows with investment banks but how big is the retail market in relation to spread betting? My understanding is that at retail level spread betting is significantly bigger, and cheaper than CFD, is that correct?

To answer you're first question yes that is true.
The major firms puppet there services out. Stick with IG Index or Finspreads.

To answer you're second question.......... don't mistake institutions with commercials, there 2 different things.

Commercials
Institutions
Speculaters

Spread betting is getting bigger every year. We had around 3,000 new betters per month joining.
