Vector Average

Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. My trading background is as a floor trader (10 years CBOT, 10 years LIFFE, 1 year SFE and 1 year on the BM&F in Brazil). Having left the pits 10 tears ago, I gave up on seat of the pants screen trading which doesn't work and have turned my attention to writing code for automated trading systems and seeing if I can come up with anything that works. So here's my question...
I'm curious about the Vector Average indicator that I've seen applied to the Trendsignal trading system. I'm wondering how is it different from any other moving average (besides changing color from green to red etc,) Can anyone who has had experience using Trendsignal throw any light on this for me? Thanks.

It's the same as all the other MAs.
