i`ve ben contacted by lincoln ventures of canada, anyone heard of them
 
No, but they fail the first test of a boiler room, ie they have a flashy sounding name.

if they cold called you then it's odds on you're being setup. Post their website address and we'll check them out for you.

Oh come on!!

It's not difficult to check: 1. Who is the financial authority in the country they are operating.
2. Is the company authorised by this financial authority?

If this proves in the slightest manner to be difficult then do not deal with them in any way.
 
Ken, don't listen to the knockers on this site, they're only jealous they haven't been targeted, sorry I means called.

Come back to us in 6 months time when the 'very promising' stock they've sold you which has just produced a new vacinne for Malaria/hiv/cancer/cholera/ebola debuts on its IPO and you sell out for a great profit :)

Or maybe it was a new mining venture that was about to strike oil/copper/gold/uranium etc.

Whatever the case there's fortunes to be made by following people that you don't know who call you out of the blue offering you EASY MONEY! :)
 
Thats strange the guy who contacted me was John Rolfe (of Pocahontas fame) ,he also is Senior Vice President of Accounts ,they obviously dont have any juniors

These guys wanted to buy my Regulation S shares in an American company for $231,000 which is way beyond thier real value := STEER WELL CLEAR !!!
