I have just returned to the markets after 2 years spent raising capital for tech start-ups.
I have just joined a new London start up offering investment advice to non-discretionary individuals trading equities, fixed income, FX, commodities and derivatives across the globe.
I have been in the markets for 23 years, spending 10 years in HK and 3 in Tokyo with equity derivatives as my speciality. I spent 7 years at the leading wealth manager in London looking after gregarious active trading clients running everything from principal protected conservative portfolios to extensive single stock, short volatility accounts.
My aim is absolute returns with appropriate risk for each individual.
As an introducing broker, my clients will maintain their account with their broker (like IG Markets or Saxo Bank) who as a principal/ market maker may not be able to give advice. So they speak to me and I place the trades into the market on their behalf.
I will also be looking at UK Self Invested Pension Portfolios (SIPP's), where clients can build up a portfolio taking risk they are comfortable with and not paying tax.
These markets offer a great opportunity and I am looking forward to the getting started.
When I am up and running in the new year, I will be writing a blog of what's going on and what I think you should do about it.
