Any inputs on managed accounts?

Hi,
I am thinking on entering the forex market but for a beginner i don't quite know where to start. i have friends and some acquaintance that suggests I start through managed accounts on a small investment..I have a forex trading company that I'm ready to sign up for as you can see... any help or inputs?\

I would advise against managed accounts - generally they tend to be run by people who aren't very good at trading, and make their money by taking it from others. If you search the forums, there are a lot of threads on this subject - you'll find that the only people who support managed accounts are those who run them, or earn commission by getting people to sign up.
