im just starting out in this game, and seen a lot of stuff about vince. As a new trader would you say his workbook and site would help me. because from what im reading so far it seems the experienced traders think its junk, but if this is the case could they provide an alternative please.

What i suggests is, take a look at www.tradergames.com and play against other traders to see how good you are and if you can make a profit. its will only cost you 20 quid for a game, and hey if you win you get 80 quid for you trouble.. If you don't know nothing about trading. have a look at this link. and copy the style. . im not a big fan of paper trading,because when one does it for real they always tend to lose.

Well personally I'd suggest you start by reading as much as you can about money management, position sizing and risk. That's the crux of any trading methodology. Most people focus straight on entry indicators when they start; I did too, but in hindsight I can now see how wrong I was to do that.

Satori, I have been using an affordable amount of money and only using 5% a time to trade would you say this is ok. Any other tips would be great

Start with the "Knowledge" button at the top of this page and work from there. Try out the many free simulators ("Reasources" tab at top of this page), maybe use "Finspreads" penny trades. All the info. you need is here. There is no short cut, neither can anyone give you the ability to trade in a few sentences by answering your posts here. You have to study much and practice a lot more. So read, practice then come back here.

Get Murphy's Technical Analysis book as a really good reference, read Techniques of Tape Reading by Graifer & Schumacher, have a look at the Joe Ross literature and maybe The Candlestick Course by Nison.

Also look inside your head and get to know yourself - don't underestimate the pyschological aspects of trading.

I use the TradingMind software to brainwash myself.

Are any of you grizzled tradersaware of a course which you "approve of"? I know I am asking the "lazy man's way to riches question" but surely there has to be one at least over here or across the water which produces a positive result on a regular basis.

Goldline, Stanzione, 2clickinvestor, Mike Parness etc - any good or tosh?
