Clarification

Dear Gentlemen

I am from India and I always love to visit this site whenever I find time.This site is full of knowledge wealth. I have a doubt to which I request the Honourable members to clarify me. Is it very difficult to earn 5 to 10 points in individual stocks In USA market. I am basically a trader in India and have more than 2 decades of trading experience.

In my last twenty years of research I have found, there is a particular method which is working in all financial market across the Globe. My method is, one need not look into any indicators in chart and see only price movement and do the trade. This method is so simple and can be learnt in an hours time.I would comeout with that details once I get used to this Forum.

I request you to reply for my querry.

what precisely was your question?

your initial post is more of a statement, rather than a query.

you didnt ask anything.

all you did was say you have been trading 20 years or so, developed a method, and will comeout with details.
any readers are probably waiting to evaluate the details before getting excited about anything.

As trendie asked - whats your point ? and more importantly why are you finding it difficult to make only 5 - 10 points in the US market and after being in the business for so long ? If I was making that I would have given up a long time ago. Also I would be sceptical to speculate on price action alone. Price action is a consequence of an exogenous ( like the word, no idea if I have spelt it right or in its right context) force so whats up doc ? Lets hear what you have to say.

dunno. really liked the miniscule brain bit. sort of Zen, as we are supposed to stop thinking when trading, thus rendering higher brain functions somewhat obselete.

My question is people in India say that capturing 5 to 10 Dollars move in a stock is quite difficult. I just only want to know, what we perceive about above is correct ??

I am trading only in India and hence I do not know much about the other markets.

I request honorable members to clarify, whether our perception is correct.

Regarding my disclosure of trading system, I will do it soon here in the next few days.

you could well be right, in that it is difficult.

this should be easy to verify, by applying Average True Range to all stocks you monitor.
How many of them have a daily range of $5-$10?
You should be able to empirically answer your question for yourself.

If you search for posts by "Mr.Charts" and "Naz", you will see they can trade US Nasdaq stocks almost everyday, and make money.
(also search for posts by "Grey1")

Question1: with access to stock-data, eg;marketwatch.com, how many stocks increased or decreased by $5 or more?

Question2: how many of them could you have spotted, and got on the gravy-train BEFORE they moved ?

EDIT: forget about your "perceptions", just get the cold, hard facts.
