Hi

what's the cheapest data feed(for demo/paper trading) Intraday Nasdaq data which i can use with Omega Research Prosuite 2000i ? i prefer the feed to have a some day trial, and i can send them the money by bank wire.

Paul(Trader333) led me to iqfeed(DTN) through HyperServer Lite, but they only accept CreditCards, and i don't have any

thnx in advance for ur help

Hi Paul (Trader333),

I have a similar question- I am about to get Prosuite 2000i -initially I plan to use it for trading CFDs- pl. can you advise on any data feed source for the US market (NYSE & Nasdaq mainly)which works well with prosuite (and economical if possible :D )?

Esignal is good but expensive. It feeds data to 2000i through a plug in.
I have tried IQfeed in the past but even after Trader333 assisted me to sort out problems, the data I received was unreliable and I closed my account. I stress that was only my experience and I know of others, like T333, who are satisfied users.
If you have an IB account there are 2 means of feeding IB data into 2000i. Hyperserver is one (see T333 post above) the other is Metaserver who also offer a data backfill. A warning though, I understand IB volume data may not be reliable.

Hi

See. from recent bahavior of the guys @ HS, i gathered they are in a transitional phase of transferring from Free products, to payed products(no wonder, they had to do this someday).

what i'd like to know, is when this will happen(for each product), and how much is the cost ?
i'm planning to get a DTN feed, hence i need the HS lite to connect these 2(TS2000i&DTN).

Regards

Why not just write to them and ask?

As stated elsewhere e-signal works ok, but id open an account with IB and collect real-time data and using something like metaserver to collect back data,

It will depend on your data requirements. If you require accurate volume data then IB is not a good option in my view, I once did a direct analysis of IB with other datafeeds and IB were up to a factor of 10 out. ie showing volume as 500 when in reality it was at 5000 and it varied on each bar how much they were out. Things may have improved but I have not seen anything that would indicate that it has.

hyperserver

Is hyperserver still free??
I went on their forums and some people were saying it is not. I tried using it's Yahoo Tradestation hyperserver datafeed, but have not had any luck getting it to work.

Anyone use this? Please let me know how to fix it!

Thanks!

NO, it isn't. Costs Eur 90.00 with a lifetime license and Help Desk support. Their Support personnel is highly knowledgeable of 2000i platform and will help you with any issue that may arise..the interaction with IB TWS is flawless. Also you can get HyperOrder to help with the automatic execution of your TS2000i signals through IB TWS. Myself, I got Hyperserver a week ago and so far is working great.
