When to stand aside?

Is there a calendar or squawk box service that tells you when NFP and other economic announcements will be made? My account is small enough that I'd like to be on the sidelines during the first several minutes of these events. Looks like there was about a 60 pip gap today in the eur/USD, and of course it was a surprise to me to find myself short and the CMS demo servers went down as usual.

So glad this is all on paper so far. I looked at a futures chart ( EC4U) and it showed a big gap too. I know I can't avoid every event like this, but I want to when I can.

FYI The NFP are always the first Friday of the month at 13:30.
