What's really wrong with Pound Sterling?

The fall in pound is hideous. Measured against a basket of other currencies. The pound has fallen in the past year by around a quarter. This is more than any previous devaluation in the past century, I think even greater than in 1931.

Anybody has any idea ??????

I'd say its about average for a recession imo.

To put it in simple terms, the mkt (for a period of time) had a view that, much like Iceland, UK is overleveraged.
